Conference on Philanthropy

AFP-NJ’s annual Conference on Philanthropy, which is held each November, is perhaps the event that requires the greatest amount of volunteer time and expertise. The Committee meets throughout the year, beginning with the evaluation closing out one conference, through to the execution of the subsequent year’s event. Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of tasks which include:

• Planning and strategy sessions of the Committee
• Chairing a subcommittee which may include public relations, conference program,
• Recruiting presenters and speakers
• Event logistics
• Securing sponsorships
• Stewardship of exhibitors
• Assembly of packets and materials for the conference
• Set-up during the week of the Conference
• Day-of assistance
