Message from the President

Hello!

Welcome to the AFP-NJ Chapter Website. This is the place for
fundraisers throughout New Jersey - your place to find the education and
networking opportunities that could help you in your career.

In 1960, three fundraisers met for lunch in New York City to discuss an
idea they had been toying with for a while, creating an association for
charitable fundraisers. Their vision led to the Association of Fundraising
Professionals that today represents 28,000 members in more than 190
chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through
advocacy, research, education and certification programs.

As one of the AFP Ten Star Chapters, our NJ Chapter, that serves almost 500 members, is committed to being a quality educational outlet for you. We meet monthly for lunch on the second Thursday of most months (check our schedule for a list of our many events) to spend time learning and sharing best practices as we inspire one another toward success.

If you are already a member, you have already enjoyed the good food and fellowship with your fundraising colleagues. But, if not, consider joining to take advantage of the members-only benefits and discounts that await you.
