In addition to the opportunities for educational and professional advancement, as well as networking access to a large group of professional peers, your membership in the New Jersey Chapter of AFP affords you a number of specific benefits, including:

Members Only Area of the Website

Access to resources available only to current members of the New Jersey Chapter of AFP, can be found on secure pages of our website. These include a current AFP-NJ Member Directory and Job Postings. When you visit one of our private members' resources you will be asked for a username and a password. If you are a current AFP-NJ member, the username and password should have already been provided to you. If you have not received it or have forgotten it, contact the Association Manager.

Monthly Luncheon Meetings

Each month, except July, August and November, we host educational programs in conjunction with a luncheon meeting. These programs cover topics of interest to fundraisers of every level and allow ample time for networking with colleagues in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Discounts on Event Registration

AFP members receive discounted rates for educational programs presented at our luncheons, workshops, seminars and annual Conference on Philanthropy. Some programs are exclusively for Chapter members.

Frequent Chapter Communications

Email communications will keep you apprised of our upcoming events and current topics in fund raising.

New Member Orientation

Several times throughout the year these sessions are held in conjunction with a monthly luncheon. Attending one will give new and prospective members more in-depth information on our Chapter's programs and AFP. We also invite our members to become more involved in the Chapter by serving on a committee, if they so desire.

Mentoring Program

Mentoring is provided to anyone wishing to discuss concerns relating to professional issues, career development or the Chapter.

Job Opportunities Listing

New listing are posted in the Members Only area of the website each month.

Certification Training

Members interested in sitting for the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) exam can prepare by attending a review course through our Chapter.

Legislative Committee

A legislative committee was formed to monitor and report on matters of interest to members of our profession.

Speaker's Bureau

The speaker's bureau provides trained, certified fund raising professionals to present programs to community groups on issues related to philanthropy.
