The Director of Major Gifts reports to the Director of Development and will be responsible for qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding a portfolio of donors and prospective donors in support of approved funding priorities and outlined initiatives for the Prep. This position will have primary responsibility for growing a comprehensive major gifts program and spending 85 percent of their time meeting high-level donors and soliciting donations for the annual fund, capital campaign and endowment.
Qualified candidates will have five (5) or more years of successful major gift fundraising experience, preferably in a nonprofit or independent school environment, capital campaign experience preferred. The Director of Major Gifts will have demonstrated success in achieving fundraising goals and a successful track record of cultivating, soliciting, and securing major gifts in the $25,000 and above range. A Bachelor’s degree is required. Must be willing to travel and work nights and weekends as needed.
